I would like to talk to you today about one of my favourite and most inspirational series: Sex and the City (SATC). Lately I have been re-watching SATC for the 5th or 6th time in my life and I must confess everyday I discover a new and (even) more beautiful look that truly inspires me. Moreover, I believe SATC was really influential not only because its amazing and surprising wardrobe but also because all of the lessons that Carrie, Charlotte, Samantha and Miranda learnt about 'men'. Yes my dears, relationships between men and women... you know how they work! So that's why I decided to write with 'the most important' looks of SATC: for you to get some of the best fashion inspiration for your everyday.

Hoy quiero hablaros de una de las series que más me gustan y me han inspirado, y seguro que a vosotras también: Sexo en Nueva York (SNY). En las últimas semanas he estado re-viendo SNY como por la 5ª o 6ª vez ya en mi vida y es alucinante que siga descubriendo nuevos y aún más maravillosos looks de sus protagonistas, que me encantan y me inspiran muchísimo. Además,  esta serie no sólo ha sido influyente por todo lo que hemos aprendido con ella sobre moda sino por todas las lecciones que Carrie, Charlotte, Miranda y Samantha se llevan sobre los hombres... ¡Sí, queridas mías! Las relaciones entre hombres y mujeres: ¡ardua tarea ésta! ;) Por todo ésto he decidido escribir este post: para vosotras, para que os inspiréis con los mejores looks de la historia reciente en vuestro "desfile diario".

Bring out your "preppy" side! | ¡Saca tu lado más "pijo"!

The summer is over and that has always meant that we should come back to the school. That's the reason I felt inspired to make this post about the preppy style which was born as the Ivy League students style of dress but that quickly was started to be followed by students all around the world. I have never been a supporter of the this style but since a couple of years ago I started to wear more preppier clothes on my daily looks. Maybe it is the influence of style icons like Blair Waldorf (the character of "Gossip Girl") or Olivia Palermo, who by the way I was lucky enough to spot the other days walking around the streets of Berlin. Let's find the funniest and more casual side of the preppy style together so you can make the most of it.

Septiembre ya está aquí y con él la vuelta al cole o a la Universidad. Y creo que ha sido precisamente de ese sentimiento de donde he sacado este post donde hablaremos del estilo preppy (comúnmente conocido también como pijo) ya que nació de la forma de vestir que tenían los estudiantes de la Ivy League y que rápidamente se extendió entre los estudiantes de las clases más altas. Debo confesar que siempre fuí reticente "a caer en sus encantos" pero desde hace un par de años hasta ahora, cada vez me gusta más y lo añado más a mis looks diarios. Será que como el otro día me crucé con la diosa por excelencia del estilo preppy Olivia Palermo y su guapísimo novio Johanes Huebl por las calles de Berlín, su magnífica y pija áurea me ha influenciado. Antes de odiarlo, ¡hay que conocerlo! Analicemos pues cuáles son los básicos de este estilo y sus iconos más famosos y así conseguirás sin duda, adaptarlo a tu estilo personal.

I will like to discuss with you a kind of thorny matter today: the abuse of the strapless dress. Don't you have the feeling that during the last seasons you just have seen strapless dresses on the majority of fashion events and weddings? It seems that the strapless dress is the only one avalaible on the fashion shops as it was the prettiest and most perfect option and it-is-not: we should start to accept that the strapless cut does not suit all bodies' structures. There are sets of ten other types of cuts which look equally or even more elegant that we should start to distinguish. Moreover, choosing another type of cut or design we will not look exactly the same like the rest of the women in a party or in a wedding celebration. Let's start the research!

Hoy propongo un tema que quizá dé mucho qué hablar: el abuso del escote palabra de honor. ¿No tenéis la sensación de que últimamente sólo veis escotes palabras de honor en los vestidos de gala y de novia? ¡Pues yo sí, y mucho! Da la impresión de que sólo están a la venta vestidos de palabra de honor para galas y fiestas como si ese estilo fuese lo más y no-es-así: no a todas nos sientan bien el palabra de honor, hay que asumirlo cuanto antes y además, hay muchos otros tipos de escote, igual o incluso más elegantes, que realmente merece la pena tener como opción y que nos servirán para no ir igual que otros millones de chicas. And I have to start with the Australian born Justin O'Shea, Buying Director of the luxury fashion web MyTheresa and based in London. I could understand that some of you might don't like him, but I truly believe he is one of the best dressed men of nowadays; he has attitude, he knows how to wear a suit without a crease and he is desperately handsome. Let's find out why then.

I am sitting here right now in front of my computer reading all of the invitations for Fashion Shows that I have  received and even yet, I can barely believe it... I will covering the Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week Berlin S/S 2014, yay! But there is another thing what I am really worried about: what I am going to wear during the fashion shows?! As some of you may already know, I am huge lover of vintage and second-hand clothes. Since I moved to Berlin I have had the fantastic opportunity to considerably increase "my modest collection" of vintages clothes and accesories as the german city is world-wide known for its amazing vintage and second-hand clothes. Last week at the market of Mauerpark I was lucky enough to find this amazing pair of leather pants in mint colour ... and I couldn't resist to them! 

Como quizá ya habréis notado, ¡me encanta la ropa vintage y de segunda mano! Y desde que me vine a Berlín cada vez me gusta más ya que la capital alemana es una de las mejores ciudades del mundo para invertir en ropa y accesorios vintage y de segunda mano. La semana pasada, paseando por el mercadillo de Mauerpark me encontré con estos maravillosos pantalones de piel en color menta, ¡que me cautivaron al momento!

Because of these unbearable high temperatures we are lately suffering (we had 37º yesterday in Berlin!) we normally choose dresses or mini-skirts for our daily looks; it seems that jeans or other types of pants are "forbidden" from June to September ;) But I always prefer pants than skirts or dresses, I think they are way more elegant so the best option of pants in summer are the 'palazzo' pants: light, wide and terribly chìc. That's why I am excited to show you my new 'palazzo' floral-print-pants that I recently found in Bershka...

Llega el verano y con él sus altísimas temperaturas y para poder sobrellevarlas, nuestra elección de vestuario siempre suele ser ó vestido o mini-faldas: entre junio y septiembre, ¡guardamos los vaqueros en el fondo del amario! :) Sin embargo, qué queréis que os diga, yo soy muy fan de los pantalones: creo que son la opción más elegante y por eso, en verano, suelo elegir pantalones 'palazzo' ó de pata de elefante como también los conocemos. Ligeros, anchitos y terriblemente chìc... ;) Y por eso no podía esperar a enseñaros mi última adquisición: estos pantalones 'palazzo' con estampado floral que encontré en Bershka...

I trust you all had a great weekend! During the last few seasons we have seen like fashion made from PVC (bags, shoes, belts and even clothes) is getting more and more popular between our style icons. We can also find them really often in our favourite brands and shops. Despite what we could think at the beginning, PVC pieces of clothing can be a really casual and chìc option for our looks: it all depends on what we other accesories and clothes we mixe them to. I personally think they are a really funny and original choice so in this post we will try to make a list of the PVC items avalaible and find how-to-wear them properly :)

En las últimas temporadas hemos podido ver como los accesorios e incluso las prendas de ropa echas a partir de PVC (o plástico) se han ganado un papel muy importante entre nuestros iconos de estilo y además las encontramos muy frecuentemente en las colecciones de nuestras marcas y tiendas de ropa favoritas. Yes, yes, yessss! Wohooooo! I could not have read better news today: the French designer Isabel Marant announces her collaboration with the Swedish chain H&M and the collection will be launched on the 14th November. The collection will include menI am big, big fan of this designer and her splendid savoir-fair and I have been following her career since she early started before even she became so popular and famous and her clothes so expensive, by the way. You can imagine that I am really happy to have the opportunity to get some appearel signed by Isabel Marant but with more affordable prices....;)

¡Sí!¡Por fin! La verdad es que no he podido leer una noticia mejor esta mañana al levantarme: la diseñadora francesa Isabel Marant colaborará con H&M en una colección que se lanzará este próximo 14 de noviembre.  He de admitar que soy una de las miles de fans que adoran el estilo y el saber hacer de Marant y además comenzé a fijarme en sus diseños mucho antes de que se hiciese tan conocida y sus precios tan inasequibles, dicho sea de paso. Imagínaos lo contenta que estoy: ¡podré comprarme una pieza diseñada por Isabel Marant a precio de compradora media! ;)
