Hi all,

I will like to discuss with you a kind of thorny matter today: the abuse of the strapless dress. Don't you have the feeling that during the last seasons you just have seen strapless dresses on the majority of fashion events and weddings? It seems that the strapless dress is the only one avalaible on the fashion shops as it was the prettiest and most perfect option and it-is-not: we should start to accept that the strapless cut does not suit all bodies' structures. There are sets of ten other types of cuts which look equally or even more elegant that we should start to distinguish. Moreover, choosing another type of cut or design we will not look exactly the same like the rest of the women in a party or in a wedding celebration. Let's start the research!

Hoy propongo un tema que quizá dé mucho qué hablar: el abuso del escote palabra de honor. ¿No tenéis la sensación de que últimamente sólo veis escotes palabras de honor en los vestidos de gala y de novia? ¡Pues yo sí, y mucho! Da la impresión de que sólo están a la venta vestidos de palabra de honor para galas y fiestas como si ese estilo fuese lo más y no-es-así: no a todas nos sientan bien el palabra de honor, hay que asumirlo cuanto antes y además, hay muchos otros tipos de escote, igual o incluso más elegantes, que realmente merece la pena tener como opción y que nos servirán para no ir igual que otros millones de chicas. Así que, ¡empecemos con el estudio!

I am sure that 9 out of 10 wedding dresses I have seen in the last 5 years are strapless dresses.  And it does not matter if the bride is a celebrity or a normal girl. I absolutely agree with the fact that the strapless dress is really elegant and beautiful but at the same time, I do have the feeling that they all look exactly the same.

Estoy segura de que al menos 9 de cada 10 vestidos de novia que he visto en los últimos 5 años son de palabra de honor. Y da igual si la novia es famosa o una chica de la calle normal. Entiendo y veo que un vestido con escote palabra de honor es realmente bonito y elegante pero a la misma vez, me parece que todas van vestidas exactamente igual.

We find the same situation with the party dresses. Please, check out the picture above: just 1 out of 8 dresses worn by the (supossedly) best dressed celebrities of the world at the last edition of the Oscars is not a strapless dress type. I am sure these women have access to the most beautiful and wonderful dresses of the entire world, why they all wore the same type of dress? Some of them looked incredibly stunning but it seems that they their style lack of personality and originality. 

Lo mismo ocurre cuando hablamos de vestidos de fiesta o gala. Echadle un vistazo a la foto anterior: sólo 1 de 8 vestidos que llevaron las famosas a la última entrega de los Óscars no es de escote palabra de honor. Estoy más que segura de que estas mujeres tienen acceso a los vestidos más fabulosos y fantásticos de este mundo, ¿por qué llevan todas el mismo tipo de corte entonces? Por supuesto, alguna de ellas están arrebatadoras con esos looks pero es como si su estilo careciese de personalidad u originalidad.
